Omaha
The Omaha is an action variation of Holdem, dealt the same way, except players start with four cards face down instead of two. Two downcards out of the hand must be used along with three on the board to make your best five-card hand. Because there are six two-card combinations in each individual Omaha player's hand rather than two, there are many more drawing opportunities per player than in Holdem - creating a fast-paced, exciting online poker game.
The Online Poker Omaha consists of four betting rounds. In this game, the betting starts after four cards are dealt to each poker player. These cards are unique to each player. The next three cards, called flop cards, are then dealt in the center of the table. These cards are community cards. These cards are part of each active player's hand. The fourth community card - the turn card, is dealt in the center of the table, followed by the third round of betting. The final community card - river card - is dealt in the center of the table, followed by a final round of betting. The turn and river cards are also community cards used by all players. The showdown takes place among the remaining players and after that, the winner is declared.
Online Poker Omaha High/Low 8 or Better, which is the name of Omaha High/Low, is a game for between 2-10 players, has gained popularity, both in the US and abroad, due to its highly challenging game play and many facetted game rules.
The Omaha High/Low is played as standard Omaha except the best high hand splits the pot with the best low hand. The low hand must be five different cards less than 8. Here straights and flushes do not matter for low, and an ace can be used for low. If someone has the best high and low hand, they scoop the pot, meaning they win the full pot. Another way for someone to scoop is if they have the best high hand and there is no qualifying low hand.
